BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

Most of us know that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (25th anniversary this month), but we don't all know what we can do to help support or prevent breast cancer, here are a few ways...
Early Detection: Check yourself (before you wreck yo self) monthly, and not just women, men too! Look out for
- Change in breast size or shape
- Any new hard lump or thickening in any part of the breast
- Swelling, redness or warmth that does not go away
- An itchy or sore nipple
- Pain in one spot that does not vary with your monthly cycle

Prevention, from BreastCacer.org:
- Stop smoking
- Get more exercise
- Maintain a healthy weight

- Relax: stress doesn't just affect the mind, it also affects the body!
